Pay Per Minute or Monthly Fee Sites?

Finding the Better Deal

There are two types of cam sites out there, those that charge per minute for private chats and those that charge a monthly fee. Both have their advantages and disadvantages, and you’re more than likely going to like one over the other. There is also at least one “site” that is unique, but I’ll talk about it later.

The pay per minute type of cam site is pretty much standard. Secretfriends, CamContacts, peekshows, I’mLive…a very large majority of cam sites are going to be pay per minute. The rates vary. Some of the girls on Camcontacts, for example, charge as little as $0.85 per minute, while some of the other sites charge up to $5 or $6 a minute. Some guys seem to think you get what you pay for, but I have to say, I’ve seen girls charging a dollar per minute who put on a much better show than some who charge much more. It all depends on which girls you like. Note that couples and groups are sometimes more expensive.

Watching these two can cost you a bit more.

The other type of site charges you a monthly fee to play. These sites typically don’t offer free chat at all – it’s all or nothing. CamBang, CamChatter, and CamUSA are examples of sites that charge monthly fees. Once you pay, you can check out the naked chicks as much as you like.

Most of these monthly sites do offer a small trial membership that costs anywhere from $2.97 (3 day trial at Camchatter) to $4.95 (2 day trial at CamChatUSA). Memberships range from $30 to Cambang to $39.67 at Camchatter, which isn’t horrible.

SweetApples also charges a monthly fee, but it’s not exactly a webcam site. It’s an archive of recorded webcam shows. If all you want to do is see chicks get naked, then it might interest you, but if you want to direct the show, it won’t.

Generally, I’d say go with the site that has the hottest chicks on it, but sometimes, you have to go with the site that you can afford. This is where you have to do a little math. If you spend a ton of time in private chats, then I’d say you’re better off going with one of the monthly fee sites. Thirty minutes of chatting at Cambang puts you at a dollar a minute, which isn’t bad.

On the other hand, if you can control your urges when your pocketbook gets a little light, then you should stick with a per minute site. You won’t always be spending $30 a month, so you can lay off the privates for a month if you can’t afford them. Per minute sites are also better if you don’t always have time to chat. If you only spend a few minutes now and then on Cambang, you’re probably wasting money.

There are a few interesting sites I need to point out:

FlirtForFree combines the two – you will pay up to $5.99 a minute for private chats with any of the girls on the site, but if you want to access the special monthly chats, you’ll need to become a VIP. A VIP membership costs you $30.00 a month, but it does have its bonuses. Besides being able to attend the special chats (which usually include a well-known porn star or two and feature the only lesbian action at Flirt4Free), you can also get in on group chats for free. Group chat usually costs around $3.99 a minute, so you’re saving a good amount.

CamFrog is an interesting instant messaging program that allows users to easily share their webcams. They have an 18+ area that is full of girls taking off their clothes for free! That’s right, the basic version of Camfrog is totally free. It is limited (the webcam window is kind of small, and you can only have one person’s cam open at once), but you can upgrade to Camfrog pro for a one-time payment of about $50. That’s not bad at all.

The last slightly different site is CamGirlsHide. This site is a directory of independent webcam girls who use Yahoo Messenger for webcam shows. Some of them charge per-minute (and the rate varies from girl to girl) while some charge a flat fee for a show.

Whichever type of webcam site you like, you’re sure to find some incredibly hot babes online who will give you a great show. Just be sure to take into account how much money you’re spending each month. You don’t want to have to pawn your wife’s gnome collection on ebay to pay for your webcam addiction!

I’m not a big fan of the monthly charge type of webcam site. I prefer to control how much I spend. Some months, I’ll watch a lot of webcam girls in private chat and spent more money, but then I’ll try to cut back the next month. Plus, there’s something about the monthly sites that I don’t like. I hate CamChatter and I’m not a fan of CamBang, either. I just haven’t found any girls on either site who I like. Anyone else agree with me?

I absolutely love CamFrog! I think it’s awesome that you can see naked babes for free on there. I paid for the pro version, and I’ve never gone private on any other site again. Yeah, I know there are sometimes not as many girls doing free shows on there as I’d like there to be, but even the free version is still really good. I even realized I kind of like getting naked on cam, too. I had never done the cam to cam thing before camfrog, but why not?
